Heading into the new year, I want to emphasize the collective work of our SPSA team and the language which will guide

our instructional work moving forward. It reads, “in our second year participating in InnovatED/Michael Fullan, which is

a professional learning platform designed to enhance instruction through improving technology skills, facilitating

collaboration among staff, increasing productivity, and providing tools and tips for better workflow management and

instructional practices for improved teaching and learning, as well as, accelerating student outcomes. Teachers selected 4

influencers to use across the content areas. They are teacher agreed upon ongoing formative assessments to evaluate

learning, class discussions (0.82 effect size), jigsaw method (1.20 effect size), and teacher clarity (0.75 effect size), which

will be implemented in 70% of classrooms during the 2019-2020 school year.”
